Aniseed (Fisherman’s) Soap

$7.00

Aniseed soap is known to be referred to as “fisherman’s soap” or “fish soap” because Aniseed soap has been used for decades as part of the fisherman’s cleaning ritual. It really helps to remove fish smell! Aniseed oil is banned from fishing competitions in certain countries, because it is said to give an unfair advantage to those using it? Apparently, aniseed oil has a particular chemical composition which acts as a fish attractant.

A conscientious angler will also wash their hands with fisherman’s soap prior to handling bait and kit. When we handle bait, we pass on our human scent, which the fish can smell. Use fisherman’s soap to wash of all the chemicals on your hands prior to handling flesh baits, live baits and lures.

Contains: coconut oil, olive oil, organic palm oil, water, sodium hydroxide*, fragrance, colouring.

*Used in the saponification process to turn oil into soap. None remain in the finished product.
